land for sale centres around the objectification and commercialisation of the Irish landscape. Our heritage seems to be up for grabs, auctioned to the highest bidder and drip-fed back to us as a pay-per-view commodity. Our natural landscape functions as an extension of the self, it is an expression of our history while also dictating our present. We are bi-products of one another with a dialogue in constant flux.
“Each piece in the show individually unique in its production, being one of one. Our fabric is made with recycled cotton submerged in hand crafted natural dyes using coal, ash, clay, berries, onion peel, bark, tea, coffee and beetroot. The ink we use is water based and biodegradable meaning each piece can be re-consumed by nature. The photography and geographical referencing is specific to the Luggala plot Co.Wicklow.”
